PSST! We have some exciting news to share! This is your chance to get your book published.

Did you know that editors and publishers seem to agree that the odds of being published are only 1-2%? This means they only accept and publish, one or two out of every hundred manuscripts they receive.  

True to our mission, re:books is helping female writers get their books published.

re:books has teamed up with Sutherland House Books for its inaugural re:books “Write Away Summer” Contest, where the winner will have their book published by Sutherland House Books.

The winner is guaranteed(!) to have their book published, edited, designed, and printed. Incredible!

Send us your manuscript, half manuscript, or at least 3 sample chapters and an outline of your book idea (you can even send us your non-fiction books that have been re:jected!). And, yes, already published authors can also participate.

Did you also know that 97% of people who start to write a book never finish? So out of every 1,000 people that set out to write a book, only 30 actually complete this undertaking.

So if you don’t have summer plans, start writing that book you always said you would. If you've already started a book, dust off those half-finished manuscripts and start revisiting them again. We don’t expect fully finished manuscripts (But if you have one wasting away in your drawer…).

Writers will have the entire summer to work on their manuscripts. Manuscripts must be submitted by September 8. Entries will be judged over the Fall. The winner will be announced on December 15 and will get their manuscript into the hands of a publisher “write away.”

The re:books “Write Away Summer” Contest is open to females in the category of non-fiction. Let me know if you plan to participate and what topic you’ll be covering. (I *may* just check in on you to see how it’s going…think of me as your personal cheerleader.)
