    AUTHOR OF “WHITE”

    Aviva Rubin is the mother of two young men and a Toronto-based writer of memoir, essays and social commentary. Her work has been featured in numerous anthologies, The New York Times, the Globe and Mail, Chatelaine, Toronto Life and Zoomer, amongst others. Rubin is the author of the memoir, Lost and Found in Lymphomaland — a harrowing and funny trip through a cancer diagnosis and treatment. WHITE is her debut novel.

  • Gail Treasure

    AUTHOR OF “WIFE BY THE HOUR”

    Gail Treasure is a retired school teacher who supply teaches occasionally. She attended York University, where she majored in French and Italian. Gail has always loved to write, has taken countless writing courses, and attended numerous writing workshops. She is currently writing a novel for pre-teens. Gail is happily married, and has two scientist daughters. Gail grew up in Toronto, but now resides in the beautiful town of Uxbridge, Ontario. Wife by the Hour was inspired by her many trips to France, her fascination with peeling back layers of the institution of marriage, and her desire to shed some light on the issue of the rights of sex workers in modern society in a fictional way.

  • Gwen K. Harvey

    AUTHOR OF “THE ACQUISITION OF ELIZABETH GRACE”

    Gwen Harvey is an accomplished entrepreneur, active foundation director, and the founder of a well-established Toronto-based family wealth strategy firm. With over three decades of honing her writing skills through business commentary, her passion for storytelling led her to venture into creative writing. She is currently enrolled in the Creative Writing Certificate program at the University of Toronto. In addition to her professional achievements, Gwen cherishes her role as a mother of three. Alongside her husband and their rambunctious Bernese Mountain dog, Bear, she divides her time between Toronto and Mulmur, Ontario.

    AUTHOR OF “YELLOW BIRDS”

    Karen Green is a writer and author whose editorial and creative work is widely published. Her essays, fiction, and poetry have been featured in several anthologies, and she is the author of two books for very young readers. Karen worked in the music industry for more than a decade and wrote the popular blog, The Kids Are Alright. She lives in Chatham, Ontario with her family and still loves a good road trip. Yellow Birds is her debut novel.

  • Pamela Wallin

    AUTHOR OF “CATS: TRUE TAILS AND LIFE LESSONS FROM A PURRING COMPANION”

    Pamela Wallin is a Canadian journalist, broadcaster, and author. Born on April 10, 1953, in Wadena, Saskatchewan, she began her career in journalism as a reporter for CBC Radio in 1974. Wallin went on to work for a number of media outlets, including the Toronto Star, Global Television, and CTV News, before becoming a co-host of CTV's daily talk show "Canada AM" in 1985. In addition to her work in broadcasting, Wallin has been active in public service. She served as Consul General of Canada in New York from 2002 to 2006 and was appointed to the Canadian Senate in 2008 by then-Prime Minister Stephen Harper. She is currently a Canadian senator and has been since 2009.

    Jo(anne) DeLuzio works as an audiologist and writes about 2SLGBTQ+ oppression. She currently resides in Toronto with her wife and two youngest children. As a parent to six children, she considers surviving their teenage years her most remarkable accomplishment. She published her debut novel, Surviving the Closet, with RE:BOOKS in 2023.

    AUTHOR OF “THE MOST AMAZING DEPARTMENT STORE”

    Born in Montreal, Sharon Neiss-Arbess is the author of two prior books, Me and My So-Called Friends and Get Up, and the producer of Brave the Waves, a teacher’s manual for middle school students. Sharon has written for Living Legacies: A Collection of Narratives by Contemporary Jewish Women and The Toronto Star, among many other publications. She is an alumna of Concordia University's Communication Studies program and Algonquin College's Creative Advertising program. Sharon lives in Toronto with her husband and three children.

    AUTHOR OF “HONEYMOON AT SEA”

    Jennifer Silva Redmond is a writer and freelance editor from California. Her essays, articles, and fiction have been published in numerous anthologies and magazines, and on sites such as Brevity. She is on the staff of the Southern California Writers Conference and San Diego Writers, Ink, and was the prose editor for A Year in Ink, vol 3, and co-founder of the critically acclaimed Sea of Cortez Review. She lives with her husband Russel, an artist and teacher, aboard their current sailboat Watchfire, somewhere on the West Coast of North America. Formerly editor-in-chief of Sunbelt Publications, Jennifer is now their editor-at-large. She is currently writing a book about editing; her book reviews and blog posts about writing, editing, and sailing life can be found on her website.

    Kalee Boisvert has been in the financial industry for over twelve years, but her love of money began at a young age.     AUTHOR OF “THE SKINNY”

    Sheri Segal Glick holds a degree in journalism, an LL.B, and a half-eaten muffin that one of her kids handed her and made her promise not to throw out. Lawyerly stuff she has done includes working at the Federal Competition Bureau, The Federal Department of Justice and the House of Commons. Mommish stuff she has done includes wrangling her three kids, finding new and exciting ways to monitor screen time, and chairing the parent council at her kids' school for the past eight years. Writerly stuff she has done includes writing for local newspapers, national magazines (print and online, most recently Today's Parent), and drafting a great deal of federal legislation (though maybe nothing anyone has read?). The Skinny is Sheri's first book, and she looks forward to writing more.

    AUTHOR OF “MOST HATED”

    After graduating from Canada’s McGill University, Kara was hired by Conde Nast’s Allure Magazine in Los Angeles. Kara quickly became known for her writing contributions, sharing her perspective on the world of fashion and beauty with a journalist approach. Kara was recruited back to Canada and became editor-in-chief of Ingenue Magazine which, under her direction, had the fastest growth in circulation among Canadian publication history for the teen demographic. In addition, Kara hosted a daily fashion and beauty radio show, interviewing icons including Stella McCartney, Laura Mercier, Zac Posen, Phoebe Philo, Diane Von Furstenburg, Bob Mackie and Oscar de La Renta. In 2017, Kara appeared in the Toronto franchise of The Real Housewives, prompting several reviewers and viewers to ask, "Without Kara would there even be a show?” Kara currently has three shows in development as an executive producer. Most Hated is her first novel. She lives with her family in Toronto, Canada.

    Danielle Kaplan is a speech-language pathologist and movement specialist. She grew up in Johannesburg, South Africa and holds a Masters Degree in Speech Pathology. She and her husband Steve emigrated to Canada, where she spent twenty years working in acute teaching hospitals, in the area of Neurology, Neurosurgery, and spinal injury. Danielle gained a certification in Pilates and then went on to train further in movement while achieving her Personal Training certification (CanfitPro), Ballet Barre for fitness training and then received her Rehab Exercise Specialisation certification. A mother of two, she lives with her husband Steve and their two fur babies in Toronto, Ontario. I Married A Thrill-Seeker is her first book.
